Concluding Join Hands : Fashion For Food (Nepal Relief)

The first event organized by Join Hands was focussed on providing means of food to the victims of the Earthquake in Nepal - Thanks to each one of you who supported with direct donations, donating designs, time, effort and all who visited and shopped at the Indian Paradise SIM during this event.

We were not alone - We has many more supporters with Clubs like Desi Funters and Tropicanna, La Performance donated all proceeds of their performance collection to the cause and we had Miss SL organization also support by having designers donate the designs exclusive to the Miss SL 2015 event in the finale.

We collected 388760 Linden Dollars, which is equivalent to 1,458 USD . Humbled with all your support. Thank you

We apologize for the delay in reporting this back to you each one of you who helped and made this possible, we have had a series of technological challenges and delays in having the funds released in real life.

We would like to confirm the entire donation was processed and completed on July 9th 2015. We are in the process of working on an official press release with support from our Event Partner - however we felt it would be a good idea to share the information within the group of people we can reach through our own social networks. Since this was the first occasion Ruby Ornamental's account was processing a credit from LindenLabs this took a while and finally after 23 days the credit was processed and received in my bank account amounting to 89,957 Indian Rupees

The donation was sent to World Food Programme in two parts to avoid tax rebate issues according to the Indian donation guidelines. Part 1 on July 7th and Part 2 on July 9th each amounting to 45,000 Indian rupees.
